The women's tennis team opened up at home on Saturday against SUNY Delhi and came out on top, 5-4.

2. Safiyyah Muhammed (Delhi) def. Madison Murphy (Broome) 6-3, 3-6, 11-9
3. Chelsea Deuel (Broome) def. Antonia Delavera (Delhi) 6-4, 6-1
4. Rani Samudrala (Delhi) def. Emily Whitaker (Broome) 7-5, 6-1
5. Kara Shanks (Broome) def. Mackenzie Landman (Delhi) 6-3, 6-1
6. Mollie Elder (Broome) def. Sarah Krzyston (Delhi) 6-0, 6-1

Doubles:
1. Jones/Muhammed (Delhi) def. Daye/Murphy (Broome) 8-6
2. Deuel/Whitaker (Broome) def. Delavera/Sumadrala (Delhi) 8-4
3. Shanks/Elder (Broome) def. Landman/Krzyston (Delhi) 8-2

Broome won three of their six singles matches today: Duel (#3), Shanks (#5), and Elder (#6) all won their matches to record their first win of the 2017 season.  Murphy (#2) had a heartbreaking loss in the third set match tiebreak.
