The women's basketball team got off to a strong start en route to a 74-57 MSAC victory on Saturday against Cayuga CC. Broome started the game with a 21-9 run to end the first quarter behind Ana Farahane's 13 points. Grace Doherty finished with a collegiate-high 22 points and added 7 rebounds. Farahane notched another double-double with a game-high 26 points and 11 rebounds. Broome saw a season best 26 assists, 8 of them coming from Graci Standish-Warpus, 7 from Farahane and 5 from Courtney Petticoffer. Petticoffer also chipped in with 9 points and 4 blocked shots.
The Hornets will host Corning CC this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in a MSAC match-up.
